NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Standout performers at 2019 Peach Jam
Nike EYBL Peach Jam is a great recruiting opportunity for athletes to play in front of NCAA basketball programs. Which prospects showed out most?
There are very few NCAA basketball offseason events as exciting as Peach Jam. The culmination of the EYBL circuit is an elite week of action following some of the brightest young basketball stars in the country. Additionally, due to the fact that it takes place during a live recruiting period, you would be hard-pressed to find a more important single event with regards to scouting talent and learning more about potential targets for each program. It is also a tremendous opportunity for underrated talents to make a name for themselves in front of college coaches and scouts.
It is easily one of the best events of the entire summer and some of the top prospects really showed why they belong near the top of recruiting rankings. The 2019 edition of the event took place from July 10-14 in North Augusta, SC. After 60 games of pool play over the first three days, eight teams remained standing for the bracket portion. In the end, it was MOKAN Elite that walked away victorious for the second time in four years. They defeated Team WhyNot in the championship game by a score of 85-84. It was a tremendous ending to an excellent week of hoops.
Now that the event is over, though, it is important to take a look back and analyze which players performed most admirably. These standout performers from the week really showcased their all-around games in front of college coaches. Some were already highly-rated talents that only justified their positions in the national rankings while others went out and made statements about how they deserve to be much higher. Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into looking at who the top standout performers were at the 2019 Nike EYBL Peach Jam event.
