Jaden Ivey – Indy Heat

CG | 6-foot-2 | 165 lbs | No. 130 overall

Jaden Ivey is simply born to score. An elite shooting threat from anywhere on the floor, Ivey is a deadly bucket-getter who should be an immediate impact collegiate player with a massive ceiling. Although he will need to develop his playmaking skills a bit more to hit his peak as a combo guard, Ivey will be a high-level scorer from the jump. He is also already committed to Purdue, and he could follow a similar path to Carsen Edwards. They share some similarities in their games and Ivey is one of my favorite players to watch in this entire class.

While playing for Indy Heat at Peach Jam, Ivey continued his strong summer with efficient scoring performances. Although his teammate, Nijel Pack, received plenty of headlines from the week, Ivey was also superb. Ove the course of the event, Ivey averaged 16.7 points (.500/.400/.800), 4.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. It is hard to argue with those numbers as he produced at a high level for one of the better teams at Peach Jam.

Ivey is one of those go-to scorers that can seemingly get it done no matter the coverage. He only needs an inch of space to get a shot off from distance, can create for himself off the dribble, and is improving with his playmaking skills. Even though he is already ranked as a relatively high recruit, Ivey could be viewed as a steal from this class in just a couple of years. He is that talented.
