Oklahoma State Basketball has released their non-conference schedule for 2019-20? Who are the best opponents that the Cowboys will face?

Oklahoma State Basketball struggled last season overall, going 12-20 (5-13) overall. The campaign went downhill after a few players were dismissed from the program, causing depth issues. It was a bad sign for the Cowboys when they lost their first game of the year, falling by two points at Charlotte. They also lost four games in a row at one point, including getting blown out by 23 points in a neutral battle versus Nebraska.

The team finished their non-conference slate with a 7-6 record. Their only successes came in the Advocare Invitational, where they defeated both Memphis and LSU, who eventually made the Sweet 16 that year. Oklahoma State brings back not only a solid core of returning players, head coach Mike Boynton has brought in a very good recruiting class for next season. The hope is that the team will compete for an NCAA Tournament bid and be much more competitive in the Big 12.

To do that, the Cowboys will have to do well in their non-conference campaign. Just recently, the schedule has been released, including the back ends of some multiyear deals with other programs. Charleston, Houston and Minnesota are featured opponents once again. Oklahoma State also will participate in the 2019 NIT Season Tip-Off, facing off against Syracuse before going up versus either Ole Miss or Penn State.

The following is a ranking for the all the “guaranteed” opponents for Oklahoma State for the upcoming season. Ole Miss and Penn State weren’t including but would’ve each been ranked No. 5 on this list. Here’s a look at how the Cowboy opponents look.
