Kentucky basketball is an elite recruiting program every single year. Which highly-regarded prospects are at the top of Coach Cal’s priority list?

Kentucky basketball is one of the most dominant programs in the country when it comes to recruiting top high school talents. Year in and year out, the coaching staff does an incredible job targeting the best athletes in the country and landing commitments. In fact, over the course of this past decade under head coach John Calipari, the Wildcats have averaged landing a recruiting class ranked at 1.50 in the country. That is flat-out incredible as the program is nearly in a class of its own on the recruiting trail.

With regards to the current 2020 recruiting class, Kentucky is yet to snag a commitment. With that said, though, it is certainly reasonable to think that Coach Cal will be hot on the trail in the coming months. The program seems to be in great shape with a number of high-profile targets and a few commitments are likely to occur in the near future. Quite simply, the Wildcats are arguably the best “one-and-done” destination in the country and it is only a matter of time before another elite class signs to play in Lexington.

Due to the number of UK players that pursue professional opportunities after each season, Coach Calipari almost always have a fill quite a few spots with incoming freshmen. For the 2020 class, it is hard to say exactly how many open scholarships he will have to work with, but he has made inroads with several top-tier players. Let’s take a deeper dive into some of Kentucky’s scholarship offers and top targets at this point in time.
