Once again, as it has now become normal for Duke Basketball, the Blue Devils will have a completely new roster for the 2019-20 season. Here is what the minutes and rotations could look like for the new look Blue Devils.

Over the last several years, Duke Basketball has become the cover page for a one and done program. Nothing has changed going into the 2019-20 season as the Blue Devils have six incoming freshmen, including two walk-ons.

The 2019-20 Blue Devils have some giant shoes to fill seeing last year’s team had three top ten picks including freshmen phenoms, Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett who went first and third respectively in this year’s draft.

The biggest news for the Blue Devils going into next season is the return of point guard Tre Jones who decided he had unfinished business after Duke got bounced by one point to Michigan State in the Elite Eight.

Jones and Duke will have the chance to get revenge against the Spartans in December as Duke and Michigan State will face off as apart of the ACC/B1G Challenge. In addition to this, Duke will also play Kansas who beat them in the Elite Eight in 2017, so expect next year’s Blue Devils to play with a lot of vengeance before ACC play even tips off.

The 2019-20 Duke Blue Devils will have three seniors in Javin DeLaurier, Jack White and Justin Robinson. DeLaurier tested the NBA waters this past season, but ultimately decided it was in his best interest to return to school.

The three were part of Duke’s 2016 freshmen class that included Jayson Tatum, Harry Giles and Marques Bolden, all three of whom have since left Duke for the NBA.

Including DeLaurier, White and Robinson, the Blue Devils have six upperclassmen going into the 2019 season, four of which will see the court in just about every game next season, but there is a chance that not a single upperclassmen starts.

Anyway, here is how the minutes and rotations could be allocated during the 2019-20 season.
