Sierra Canyon has a history of sending quality high school talent to NCAA Basketball. Could their upcoming roster be their best ever assembled?

The city of Los Angeles was once known as the city of champions. Everyone knows about the pro sports success, and the success of the late John Wooden. Wooden built a dynasty at UCLA and the Bruins may have gone through some lean years recently but their name still carries prestige in the NCAA Basketball world. What many didn’t know was before UCLA, the San Francisco Dons were the premier team in the sport, Bill Russell, yes that Bill Russell led them to back to back championships and the longest winning streak in the country. The state of California has been at the forefront of college basketball in the west coast for a long time.

Picture this, a year in which the UCLA Bruins don’t run the basketball world in Los Angeles. This year that could very well happen. In the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles sits a private school named Sierra Canyon. The Trailblazers have assembled a roster full of superstars and are ready to take the basketball world by storm. Busting Brackets is a college basketball site, so why are we focusing on a high school team?

That high school team, the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers have the potential to be the best high school team ever assembled, not just in LA or in California, but ever. The entire projected starting five are going to be impact players in College wherever they go, and they will get a tremendous amount of coverage both on this site and every other site. It makes sense to discuss who is on that roster and why they are so great.  The Trailblazers are going to be can’t miss TV this year when they are on TV, and it is almost a given that ESPN will find a time slot to put them on TV. The team is too good to miss.
