Myles Stute is a very good NCAA Basketball prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. Which of teams vying for his services made the latest cut?

Gonzaga College High School (not the one in the WCC) has consistently produced future NCAA Basketball prospects. They have another one on the way in Myles Stute, a three-star wing from Washington D.C.

Dating back to his freshman days in high school, Stute stood out as a guard who had the ability to not only shoot the ball but also play above the rim. He’s a very good athlete who has a great shooting stroke from long distance. Now at 6’6 and 220 pounds, Stute can play multiple positions on the perimeter and has the size to be imposing at the next level.

Projected to be a four-year NCAA Basketball player, Stute has been offered plenty of scholarships from power conference programs. That includes those nationally ranked, as well as those currently rebuilding. Just recently, he’s downsized his list of NCAA Basketball options to just seven teams – Marquette, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Florida, Vanderbilt, Clemson and Texas A&M.

It’s a wide-open process with no real favorites at this point, meaning that his recruitment is up for grabs among these teams. Here’s a look at his potential roster fit with each program bases on the projected roster for the 2020-21 season.

Clemson Tigers

The Tigers have lost a lot of talent from last season’s team, including their top three scorers. They brought in three quality guards from the 2019 class and a few transfers, led by former top-50 small forward Khavon Moore. He missed all of last season at Texas Tech with a knee injury. They also should have Clyde Trapp coming back for the 2020-21 season after suffering a serious injury this summer. If these two players come back both healthy and productive, the wing position would become crowded for Stute if he chooses Clemson.
