You would be hard-pressed to find a more talented 2020 point guard than Caleb Love. Which NCAA basketball programs made his final six?

Now that the grassroots season is complete, NCAA basketball recruiting is heating up around the county for the 2020 class. Caleb Love, a 6-foot-3 point guard from Saint Louis, is one of the top-rated players in the age group and is ranked at No. 25 overall and as the fourth-best point guard. With plenty of size and athleticism, he projects as a two-way guard with the ability to compete at either backcourt slot. Since the inception of 247Sports’ 2020 player rankings, Love has been an incredibly steady riser as he has moved up a total of 101 spots.

This has largely been a result of his improvement as a creator. Love is clearly one of the top backcourt scorers in the entire class and his playmaking is only continuing to develop. Love has made significant strides with regards to his all-around game. He is now a lockdown backcourt defender and you would be hard-pressed to find a more versatile two-way guard. While playing for Brad Beal Elite (MO) on the EYBL circuit, Love showcased his entire skillset en route to posting averages of 15.8 points (.401/.295/.781), 4.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.9 steals per game across 20 total contests.

His performances across the grassroots season led to even more recruiting interest and he recently trimmed his list down to six teams. Missouri, Indiana, Arizona, Kansas, Louisville, and North Carolina are now the only programs remaining in the running to land the talented combo guard. Love’s development has been incredible over the last few months and he should only continue to improve at the next level. It is clear that Love will be a big-time addition to whichever program he decides to play for.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into analyzing each of the six schools left on his list.
