DJ Steward, the 27th ranked player in the Class of 2020 has released his top eight NCAA Basketball teams, but where will the combo guard end up?

DJ Steward is the 27th ranked player in the Class of 2020 and the ninth ranked shooting guard. Where the five-star ends up in terms of his NCAA Basketball future is still up in the air though.

Steward is a combo guard who can shoot the ball with the best of them which is his strong-suit. On the defensive side of things, Steward struggles a bit but he gets by against either the one or two.

Once he gets to college defense is going to be the main part of Steward’s game that he needs to work on in order to be a top-ranked guard going into the NBA Draft.

Steward is one of the best shooters in the Class of 2020 but in order to be a truly great player you need to be able to get it done on both sides of the ball and at the moment that is something that we have yet to see out of him.

This past week Steward released his final eight teams, which to no surprise included the school everyone thinks the 6’3″ 165lb combo guard will wind up at, Duke. The other seven teams in Stewards final eight are DePaul, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, North Carolina and Texas.

Steward is from Chicago and attends Whitney Young High School, hence DePaul, Illinois and some of the other midwestern state schools. The question is though, will Steward stay home and try to be the hometown hero, or will he leave in pursuit of a National Champion?

Out of the eight schools on his list, only two have players from the Class of 2020 committed already, those being Duke and UNC. Some of the other schools will likely pick up a few here and there, while some may not get any at all.

So with that being said, which schools are the best fit for the combo guard out of Chicago? Here is a ranking of the best options for Steward.
