Dan Hurley

Fans saw plenty of hope last year with what things could be, a big win over rivals Syracuse at Madison Square Garden reminded fans that good times are coming again. A rebuild doesn’t happen overnight but with the culture change and influx of talent, it certainly speeds it up.  Dan Hurley wants to win, no doubt about it we’ve heard it directly from his mouth, he hates to lose. Hurley is a coach who can get the most from his guys, his passion for the sport and for the university is unquestioned.

In a quote yesterday from Dan Hurley on newly committed recruit Richard Springs he said, He’s a quality student-athlete, from a strong background in terms of his family and advisors. He’s the type of quality person and player we feel can help us compete for championships”. If you notice the last part of that quote he says championships, he wants to win them, he wants to start winning them now.

While all the preseason talk will be about Memphis and their recruiting class, and Cincinnati and John Brannen, UConn will be lurking in the shadows, ready to announce that they’re back.
