Nimari Burnett – Prolific Prep (CA)

CG | 6-foot-3 | 185 lbs | No. 23 overall

Louisville’s recruiting efforts have been absolutely tremendous this year. That much should be obvious considering how involved they are with top prospects and Nimari Burnett continues that trend. The Cardinals recently made the final five for the top-25 combo guard and they have a solid shot at landing his commitment. It seems as though Alabama and Michigan are the favorites in this recruitment but I don’t want to be the one counting out Coach Mack, especially considering the fact that Burnett is visiting the UL campus next month. Burnett averaged 19.1 points (.458/.307/.769), 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game on the EYBL circuit for Team WhyNot (CA) this summer.

Isaiah Jackson – SPIRE Academy (OH)

PF | 6-foot-9 | 190 lbs | No. 17 overall

Louisville actively watched Isaiah Jackson at Peach Jam and there is obvious mutual interest between the school and the prospect. The Cardinals have been heavily targeting the young frontcourt star and he would be a great addition for the future. Michigan State is currently regarded as the favorite in this recruitment with all seven crystal ball predictions but programs such as Arizona and Michigan are also involved. Jackson is an extremely athletic power forward with the ability to rebound at a high level and be an elite rim-protector. While playing for The Family Detroit (MI) this summer, Jackson averaged 10.9 points (53.7% FG), 6.0 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game.
