Although they aren’t heading to the NBA right now, many former NCAA Basketball stars are going overseas to start out their pro careers.

At the conclusion of the 2019 NBA Draft, many great NCAA Basketball Mid-Major seniors from the class of 2019 went undrafted. Fortunately, over the past few weeks, many European clubs have been quick to pick up these deserving prospects, allowing them to realize their dream of playing basketball professionally.

Following the college game closely allows us to understand that there are talented players and teams in all parts of the country. It at least seems this way now more so than ever before.

March Madness upsets are occurring more frequently, Mid-Majors are constantly knocking on the door of the AP rankings, and many stars from these smaller schools are making sure their names are remembered when they graduate.

Unfortunately, with basketball talent seemingly everywhere, and more of that talent concentrated within a select few conferences, most Mid-Major stars must look beyond the United States for opportunities at a professional career. Leagues primarily in Europe are very active in pursuing the great college players that are not quite at a level good enough for the NBA.

That brings us to this list of players. Despite the name on the front of the jersey, a few of these guys are household names. Others are not; however, if you are on top of college basketball, then chances are you have at least heard of all of these guys, due to the fact that all but one of them has competed in the NCAA Tournament at some point during their college basketball career.

Every single one of them was a key contributor to the success of their respective Mid-Major. Their accomplishments in college may not have been enough for them to be desired by the NBA, but nonetheless, the professional leagues in Europe have come calling. This list of sixteen players may only be a fraction of those from Mid-Majors to sign professional deals in Europe, but these sixteen are the most notable.
