Club: Mitteldeutscher (Germany)

Perhaps the play of Fletcher Magee and the other Wofford guards may have caused the Wofford front court to go overlooked. Nonetheless, Wofford’s Cameron Jackson had a tendency to become an unstoppable force in the paint.

While at Wofford, Jackson averaged 14.5 ppg this past season and 10.1 ppg over the course of his career. He also averaged just under 8 rebounds per game in 2018-19. For his outstanding play, Jackson was named All-SOCON in 2018-19.

Against North Carolina in 2017, a game in which Wofford went into Chapel Hill and took down the defending National Champions, Cam Jackson showed North Carolina just how dominant he really is. He contributed 18 points and 9 rebounds to the victory. The North Carolina faithful were overly stunned by how Jackson outplayed the Heels in the paint.

Jackson’s physical play makes him an enormous threat. He often charges the lane and uses his body to clear defenders out of the way. Additionally, he did lots of Wofford’s dirty work. As a very pugnacious rebounder and physical defender, Cameron Jackson was very effective at providing Wofford with the front court advantage in all SOCON games in 2018-19.

His ability to play down low brought the attention of a few NBA teams, ultimately leading to him getting pre-Draft workouts with a few organizations. Unfortunately, Jackson was not picked up by the NBA. Per the Wofford Athletics site, he is on his way to Germany to play for Mitteldeutscher in the Basketball Bundesliga.
