Every single year there are NCAA Basketball players that just ball out, but are relatively unknown when it comes to being a household name. Who should be getting more attention this upcoming season?

Just this past NCAA Basketball season we saw players such as Miye Oni from Yale, Ja Morant from Murray State, and to a larger degree Sam Merrill from Utah State put up gaudy numbers. But none of them aside from Morant ended up getting a lot of national attention. There were more than just those three players that did it last year. In fact, a good chunk of those players is coming back this year, including Merrill going back to the Aggies. Will he even be good enough to make a top-five list off of his stats from last season?

The following list will have to do with more than just stats alone as that would make for a fairly predictable list, but rather is will have an importance to the team factor, as well as just a “wow” factor as well where his jaw-dropping ability will also be taken into account. Each player on this list is someone who has the potential to lead their team to some kind of success in the upcoming season which in turn could also help their chances at making it to the next level as they all have some kind of pro potential in their game.

Honorable mentions include:
Lamine Diane- Cal Northridge
Chris Lykes- Miami
Kamar Baldwin- Butler
James Akinjo- Georgetown
Mac McClung- Georgetown
Kellen Grady- Davidson
Anthony Lamb- Vermont
Jordan Ford- St Mary’s
Breein Tyree- Ole Miss
