Duquesne Basketball is ready for a breakout season in the Atlantic 10. Their leader and point guard Sincere Carry is a huge reason why.

College Basketball in the state of Pennsylvania is a way of life for some, especially those that live in Philadelphia. The state has been at the forefront of the sport for quite some time. The Atlantic 10 Conference has three of their conferences schools in the state with LaSalle and St. Josephs in Philadelphia, while Duquesne Basketball resides in Pittsburgh. While Philadelphia is the center of the college basketball world in Pennsylvania, the city of Pittsburgh is home to some great basketball as well.

Duquesne Dukes basketball led by coach Keith Dambrot is ready to make their move in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Dukes have a good core of their roster returning from a season ago and have real expectations for the first time in the Dambrot tenure. The Dukes have not had those kind of expectations for the better part of the last 40 years. One of the reasons for resurgence is the leader of the Dukes offense. Sophomore point guard Sincere Carry is one of the best players in the Atlantic 10 and is on pace to have one of the best careers in Duquesne history.

The Atlantic 10 has great players throughout the conference. Even though the conference struggled somewhat a year ago, they still had its share of fantastic players. It’s also got stronger overall this offseason. The younger teams gained more experience, and the experienced teams added to their rosters with eligible transfers. Carry and the Dukes are ready to take the next step and try and secure one of the top sour spots in the league and potentially a postseason bid.
