A-10 Basketball should be a much more exciting conference than it was last season, and one reason for that is the plethora of promising young talent now getting set to take the floor for the first time.

With so many returning star upperclassmen, especially at the top of A-10 Basketball, it will be tough for the rookies to immediately sky-rocket into stardom in the way that Obi Toppin and Kyle Lofton did in this previous campaign, but they will still have ample opportunity to start their careers off on a high note and become integral parts of their teams’ success.

Do not interpret this article as an exhaustive the list of the A-10 Basketball rookies to watch, nor even of the most talented ones. It’s instead a description of a few players that I believe will stand out because of a combination of factors. Talent is obviously one of them, but so are things like positional roster depth and coaching.

In other words, the possible exclusion of your favorite A-10 team’s most highly-touted rookie does not mean I don’t believe they will become a household name in the long run. I simply wanted to highlight a few incoming players that should have a real chance to make a significant impact in 2019-2020.
