Wings

Aaron Fiegen (Redshirt Freshman)

The SDSU roster is light on true wings for the 2019-20 season, but Fiegen is one guy who has a chance to capably fill that role for the times the Jacks aren’t rolling with small-ball lineups. His ideal position is probably at power forward, but he shot 46% from three his senior year of high school according to the SDSU website. That shooting should allow him to exist in a more perimeter-oriented role, at least in stretches, even if he’s handling will leave something to be desired out there.

Baylor Scheierman (Freshman)

Scheierman is the only player on this team that profiles as a full-time small forward. There’s no guarantee he’ll be ready for big minutes as a freshman, but at 6-6 with solid athleticism, shooting and passing, it’s likely he’ll at least get some chances given the lack of depth on the wing. Even if the Jacks best lineup is probably three guards, Scheierman playing capably even as a reserve, will give this roster some much-needed balance.
