Florida Basketball is preparing for what could be a historical 2019-20 season. What will the rotations for the Gators look like?

It’s the annual tradition in the SEC that the Kentucky Wildcats are the team to beat to start the season. With several incoming five-star/future NBA prospects always coming in, it makes sense that the Calipari-led juggernauts are always at the front. But recently, teams such as Auburn, Tennessee and LSU have been major thorns in their side. As for the major contender to the Wildcats this upcoming season, look no further than Florida Basketball.

The Gators were already viewed as a preseason top-15 for 2019-20 despite losing their only double-digit scorer from last year in KeVaughn Allen and another key player in Jalen Hudson. The high expectations are based on three keys; a trio of talented rising sophomores, a top-tier recruiting class and arguably the top graduate transfer who was in the portal this offseason.

Add all of that together, and you have a team who some (including myself) have pegged as a top-5 preseason roster. In fact, I think the Gators should be the team to beat in the SEC over Kentucky. It should be a fun battle between these two teams, who both have Final Four expectations.

For this piece, I’ll be taking a closer look at the roster for Florida and the 11 scholarship players involved. Transfers Anthony Duruji and Tyree Appleby are sitting out per NCAA rules but will certainly be a part of the team’s 2020-21 roster without question. As for the others, here’s where they’ll play and for how many minutes.
