Justin Turner is one of the top returning scorers for the MAC. What should be expected of the Bowling Green Basketball star?

The MAC basketball conference was dominated by the Buffalo Bulls over the last five years. The Bulls showed well for the conference in the postseason by whitewashing Arizona two seasons ago. A season ago, Buffalo was the class of the league, but they had some competition at the top. Bowling Green Basketball entered the mix last year. While Buffalo was still able to win the league outright and represent the conference in the NCAA tournament. The Falcons showed they are going to have an influence on the conference race, especially with former Buffalo coach Nate Oats on to Alabama.

Bowling Green had a young team and one of the best young players in the MAC. Justin Turner is a rising junior guard who is the heart and soul of the Falcon team. The MAC is going to be open at the top this year as the two top teams from a season ago look to be going through a slight rebuild. Buffalo has a new coach in Jim Whitesell, and also lost their best players from a season ago. Toledo lost a lot from their team a year ago.

The Falcons led by Turner are looking to finally make it back to the NCAA tournament. The Falcons have not been to the NCAA tournament since the end of the 1967-68 season. That is one of the longest droughts in the country, not counting the teams who have never made the NCAA tournament. It is hard to have high expectations as a program when your program has struggled on the floor for the last 50 years. This season with Turner leading the offense that all could change.
