Seton Hall Basketball: Analyzing Pirates 2019-20 projected rotation
Seton Hall Basketball is projected to have a great team for this upcoming season. On the court, what will the Pirates look like in regards to their rotations?
After losing so much talent in the season prior, there weren’t a lot of expectations for Seton Hall Basketball. However, led by the emergence of guard Myles Powell on the national level, the Pirates put themselves in a position to make another NCAA Tournament appearance and finish in the top-3 of the Big East.
Coming off a 20-win season, what are the Pirates going to look like for the 2019-20 campaign? Well…. just about the same. Only one player left the team this offseason in graduate starting forward Michael Nzei. His absence stings a bit but the team has a big man transfer who sat out this past season after transferring. More on him later.
But the moment Seton Hall started being taken seriously as a real contender for this upcoming year was the moment where Powell elected to return for his senior season. It was 50/50 when it came to his decision but now the Pirates have back one of the best pure scorers in all of NCAA Basketball. And with the others coming back as well, coach Kevin Willard benefits from bringing back nearly 90% of the team’s total production. Only Colorado from the power conference/Big East teams bring back more.
Expect more of the same from this team when it comes to playing time and rotation but there are some minor changes to watch out for. Here’s a look at what the Pirates will look like on the depth chart.
