There is no doubt the NCAA Basketball teams on this list will be good – some may even compete for a Championship. But that doesn’t mean they’ll be fun to watch.

In my first article, I introduced you to the Max Watchability Index. Last year, I used this Index to find the most watchable teams in NCAA Basketball, both throughout the season and during March Madness.

While the Index worked great in finding exciting offensively-minded teams for me to watch, it also worked great in terms of weeding out defense-oriented, mind-numbingly boring teams that plague the NCAA. March Madness is one of the greatest spectacles in sports, but it is often ruined by coaches who decide that the best way to be successful is through a lockdown defense and end up producing some of the most boring TV that rivals only day-time television.

And while these squads often happen to be the most successful, it doesn’t mean they play enjoyable basketball, as we saw in last year’s forgettable National Championship between Texas Tech and Virginia.

So, if you’re like me and would like to avoid watching teams that use defense to make this beautiful sport unwatchable, here are the top 5 teams who may play deep into March, but will be as unwatchable as a mid-afternoon soap opera.
