Michigan Basketball and the rest of the Big Ten recently released the schedules for each school’s conference games. What did the schedule tell us about the season the Wolverines will have?

Michigan Basketball has known for a while which teams they were playing just once and what teams they would play twice during the Big Ten conference schedule, but until recently they didn’t know the dates. But with last weeks release of their schedule, they can now have an idea of how their season may fare.

The Wolverines get their hated rivals Ohio State and Michigan State both twice which is good for the fans even if it might not be for the record. Both teams look to be pretty good this year and while the fans love seeing them play this might have been the year to avoid playing them twice. But I think all fans would rather see the Wolverines play them twice and have the chance to knock them down a peg.

Michigan does avoid going to Indiana which until just recently has been a place of horrors for them. The Wolverines have struggled to win in Bloomington and it is a welcome sight to not have to go there this year.

They also just play Maryland and Wisconsin twice and while the Badgers may be down the Terrapins look like they are a legit top 15 team. Michigan will have to wait until the very last game of the regular season to check them out.

Overall the schedule is fairly balanced, but there are still some tough stretches and the occasional easy patch of games. We take a look at the three thoughts about Juwan Howard’s first go-round in the Big Ten.
