Winning four of the last six high school national championships is a luxury many teams don’t have. With another star-studded roster filled with NCAA Basketball prospects can Montverde Academy win another?

In the High School basketball world, there are always teams who carry clout. The teams who carry clout are usually the ones who have the best players and provide players with the best chance of being a star at the college level. Montverde Academy in Florida is one of those programs. They have games on national TV and they often have a roster loaded with top NCAA Basketball recruits, many of which will only play one season in College.

In a previous article, it was mentioned that Chatsworth, CA Sierra Canyon has the best high school basketball roster ever assembled. While that is still the belief the Montverde Academy Eagles could give Sierra Canyon a run for the money. As a program there is no contest, Montverde has won 4 of the last 6 National Championships including 3 in a row from 2013-2015. If you look closely you will see Montverde players starring all over NBA rosters. The history at Montverde is rivaled by few, and that history has been established by a culture of winning.

Head Coach Kevin Boyle has been at the helm since 2011, and since that time he has been able to bring some of the top high school talent to Florida. While at Montverde the players gain extra exposure and either get more offers or shoot up the recruiting rankings. Boyle has coached players Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, RJ Barrett, and D’Angelo Russell. These players were all top five picks in the NBA draft and all only played in College for one season. The Eagles are armed with another great roster and ready to add another National Title to the trophy case.
