The top JUCO prospect for the 2020 NCAA Basketball season has publicly listed his top 10 teams. Which ones have the best chance to land Jay Scrubb?

Besides the regular top NCAA Basketball prospects coming out of high school, Junior College players are a great way to bring in quality talent who can make an immediate impact. Once in a while, there’s a JUCO talent that just about everyone is after and has surefire All-Conference potential. That guy is Jay Scrubb, the No. 1 ranked player for the 2020 Junior College class.

The 6’6 shooting guard has tremendous size (220 pounds with a great wingspan) and is a tremendous offensive playmaker. At John A. Logan College, Scrubb averaged 19.5 ppg and 8.6 rpg on 55% shooting from the field, as well as 46% from three-point range. A JUCO All-American as a freshman, he’s the consensus best player from those ranks and would be a tremendous asset for whichever NCAA Basketball program he chooses.

That’s “if” he chooses to go to college. Reports earlier this summer had indicated that Scrubb could possibly bypass NCAA Basketball after this upcoming season and declare for the NBA Draft if gets a good enough valuation. There are some mocks that have him pegged as a 2nd-rounder but in order to become a first-round target, he’ll likely have to play – and dominate at the next level in college.

That’s what makes it so important as to which school the Louisville, Kentucky native picks. He recently released a list of the top-10 teams in the running to land them. Many of them have a history of landing top-tier JUCO talents and hope to get another in Scrubb. Here’s a look at each potential situation for a possible “one and done” star guard.
