Last season, SoCon Basketball proved to be a league filled with talent. Many of the guys that made this fact clear to the College Basketball world have graduated, but the conference is still loaded with great players this season.

The 2018-19 season allowed everyone around the nation the opportunity to see how strong SoCon Basketball can be. Arguably, the conference as a whole was the best it has ever been. The reason for this sudden rise is a high concentration of talented players present within a league that is typically overlooked.

Unlike last year, when the main bulk of talent was held by Wofford, UNCG, and Furman, the talent pool within the SOCON this season is more spread out amongst every team in the league. With that, the race for the SOCON Title and an NCAA Tournament berth may come down to the wire.

Now, with last year in the rearview mirror, let’s focus on the 2019-20 season of SOCON Basketball. Specifically, we need to get to know the guys that will be lighting up the scoreboard and making a name for themselves as the conference’s best.

All of these top players in the SOCON this season were key to the success of their teams last year, but many will now play larger roles and become their squad’s go-to this season.

The league as a whole, just like in all of college basketball, is very guard-heavy. Many of the guys on this list are deadly shooters, but some great frontcourt players are here as well. The SOCON style of utilizing a traditional dirty-work big man allows this type of player to be equally as threatening, if not more.

Now let’s get on with the list of the 14 guys that will deal the most damage in the SOCON this season.
