Jay Scrubb – John Logan College

SG | 6-foot-6 | 220 lbs | No. 1 JUCO

As the top JUCO prospect in the country, Jay Scrubb has attracted his fair share of suitors over the past few months. The 6-foot-6 guard is fresh off an incredible JUCO season and will have two years of eligibility remaining. As a result of his play, the expectation is that Scrubb will be able to come in and make an immediate impact as a potential star at just about any program in the country.

He is also considering testing the NBA Draft waters and forgoing the opportunity to play at the high-major level.

Scrubb is a superb scorer and rebounder for his position. While playing for John Logan College last year, the young guard posted 20.2 points (.549/.464/.791) and 8.9 rebounds per game. It is clear that Scrubb is a knockdown shooter from beyond the arc and has no trouble filling it up at all three levels. To put it simply, Scrubb is an incredible fit for the modern game with his athletic versatility and elite-level sniping.

Alabama has been heavily involved in this recruitment for some time but they are far from the only contender. Scrubb cut his list to 10 teams at the beginning of September and there are several powerhouses in the running. These include the likes of Kentucky, Memphis, Oregon, Texas Tech, and Louisville (among others). This will be a very difficult battle to win as Scrubb will be a major difference-maker at the high-major level.

Jay Scrubb might not be a member of the 2020 high school class but his current recruitment is one of the most intriguing to follow in the nation. He is that talented.
