Big Ten Basketball is the focus for our latest Busting Brackets podcast episode? What are the biggest topics and questions for the league?

It’s another podcast episode for Busting Brackets! This time our hosts Connor Hope and Brian Rauf are joined by Big Ten Basketball analyst Adam Childs to discuss a conference viewed by many to be a one-team race.

Once All-American guard Cassius Winston elected to return for his senior season, Michigan State became the heavy favorite to not only win the Big Ten but potentially be the last team remaining when it’s all said and done for the 2019-20 season. The guys discuss their strengths and weaknesses to start off the show.

But who are the biggest contenders for the Spartans? It could be the Maryland Terrapins, who also return some NBA-caliber talent and has a Big Ten Basketball Player of the Year candidate in sophomore big man Jalen Smith. Are they good enough to give Michigan State a run for their money?

Another Big Ten Basketball team who has been in the spotlight this offseason was Michigan, who replaces both their head coach along with a ton of lost production. What do the guys think about former Wolverine legend Juwan Howard as he takes over the job? Adam gives his thoughts and projections on a team who follows and covers very closely.

Michigan isn’t the only team who has to deal with a lot of missing production. Purdue won’t have leading scorers Carsen Edwards and Ryan Cline to rely on this upcoming season. Can Nojel Eastern and company keep the Boilermakers among the upper-tier in the Big Ten?

From the teams near the top to those in the middle, teams such as Illinois and Indiana have a lot of pressure on them to make a move towards the top of Big Ten Basketball. If not, do the guys fear that their respective head coaches would be on the hot seat?

Taking a closer look at the individual players, which guys are due for a breakout season? Based on the amount of production gone from the Big Ten overall, a number of players will have to step up in order for their respective teams. The guys discuss some players who they have an eye on.
