Big 12
Devonte Bandoo, G, Baylor, Brampton, ON
Taryn Todd, G, TCU, Vaughan, ON
Gabe Osabuohien, F, West Virginia, Toronto, ON
Jermaine Haley, G, West Virginia, Vancouver, BC
Jermaine Haley has an opportunity for an extended role this season as the 2nd leading returning scorer for West Virginia at 7.1 PPG. In addition, he was on fire to end last season, scoring in double-figures in nine of the Mountaineers’ last 10 games, including career-high 28 against Iowa State. With a strong 6’7 frame and all-around game, he could be a key cog in a potential rebound season for West Virginia. He’s very versatile on both sides of the ball, as his size allows him to check bigs as well as players his position. Offensively, he can make plays for himself and other, and crashes the glass as well as any guard in the league. With a season of Big 12 basketball under his belt, Haley could be ready to take another big leap forward.

Addison Patterson has the distinction of being the highest-ranked Canadian recruit in the 2019 class according to 24/7 Sports. This feat is even more impressive given that he recently reclassified from the 2020 class when committing to Oregon last month. Patterson has been highly touted amongst the Canadian basketball community for multiple years, but it will be interesting to see how he takes the next step at a major Division 1 program like the Ducks. Especially on a team with multiple talented scorers, Patterson will need to show an elevated level of maturity to go along with his evident ability. If he can manage well, his impressive athletic ability and scoring prowess could turn him into a one or two-year player before heading pro.
SEC
Prince Oduro, F, Mississippi State, Toronto, ON
AJ Lawson, G, South Carolina, Toronto, ON
Cashius McNeilly, G, Texas A&M, Toronto, ON
Emanuel Miller, F, Texas A&M, Toronto, ON
Andrew Nembhard, G, Florida, Aurora, ON
Andrew Nembhard smartly decided to forgo a jump to the pros and return to Florida for his Sophomore season. This decision firmly puts him in the discussion for Top 10 guards in all of College Basketball. A true floor general, he always has his head on a swivel and searches for the right play. He could serve to greatly improve his drives to the basket, along with his finishing. With average size and athletic ability, being able to finish creatively through contact would be a terrific next step. Manning the ship on what should be an excellent Gators team this year, Nembhard could get plenty on national spotlight, and very well could use it to cement his value amongst the top players in Division 1.
