Weber State Basketball has had its fair share of stars, including Damien Lillard. Is the next Dame currently on the Roster in Jerrick Harding?

Weber State Basketball is one of the winningest programs in College Basketball history.  The all-time winning percentage currently sits at .630 winning percentage which is the 27th best mark in the NCAA. The Wildcats are the program many teams in the Big Sky conference strive to be. As with most schools who have won as many games as Weber State, they have had their fair share of NBA players. None of those players are more famous than Damien Lillard. The star for the Portland Trail Blazers was never able to guide the Wildcats to the NCAA Tournament.

Weber State has not made the NCAA tournament since 2016, but their successes in the tournament in the late 1990’s put the rest of the country on watch and helped put the Weber State program on the map. In 1995 the Wildcats, led by former NBA guard Ruben Nembhard knocked off 3 seed Michigan State, before falling to Georgetown by one point. In 1999, Weber State pulled off one of the bigger upsets in the NCAA tournament. The Wildcats led by Harold Arceneaux knocked off the North Carolina Tar Heels. They later fell to the Florida Gators in Overtime.

This season the Wildcats have another star guard ready to lead his team to the top of the Big Sky conference. Senior guard Jerrick Harding is hoping to put his name next to Lillard, Nembhard and Arceneaux in the Weber State record books. Head coach Randy Rahe is armed with his best team and is going to look to the best player in the league to help lead his team to the promised land for the first time since 2016.
