Expectations for Harding in 2019-20

Coach Rahe is hoping that Harding comes ready to play and he doesn’t lose that chip that has done him well to this point in his career. If anything, the ability to prove something should be ever stronger this year. He has yet to accomplish something that other Wildcat greats have done multiple times; win the Big Sky Player of the Year.  Arceneaux and Lillard have both won the award multiple times. If the senior guard wants to place his name among the Weber State greats, he will need to take home that hardware. If he can guide the Wildcats to the NCAA tournament, he will be able to accomplish something Lillard never did.

Harding is going to have some competition at the top for the player of the year. Montana’s Sayeed Pridgett has a great case to win the player of the year and the battle between him and Harding is going to be a good one. The guard has a great shot at being the next player from the program to play in the NBA. He has a game for the NBA, and even if he doesn’t get drafted, he should still get a shot in the summer league with a chance to make a team.

If Harding doesn’t lead Weber State in scoring or averages less than 20 points a game, it would be extremely surprising. The basketball world needs to see Harding in the NCAA tournament. He is an electric player who has the chance to do what Nembhard and Arceneaux have done before him, and that is lead an upset in the NCAA tournament. Take note of Weber State they are always dangerous.
