While the transfer market has certainly gained popularity in recent years, securing commitments from high school talents is still the primary mode of roster creation. For Big East basketball, the conference is bringing in 28 new freshmen from the 2019 recruiting class this year.

Even though returning stars such as Myles Powell, Markus Howard, and Kamar Baldwin are likely to lead the headlines for the Big East this season, there are several incoming freshmen worthy of discussion. These newcomers joining the conference represent the next set of stars for the league as each program secured at least one 2019 commitment.
