UConn Basketball looks to return to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2016. Here’s a preview of how the Huskies are shaping up for their final season in the AAC.

It’s year two of the Dan Hurley era for UConn basketball and there’s a growing belief in Storrs that the Huskies are almost back. UConn has been going through a bit of a rebuild the past few years trying to fix the damage from former head coach Kevin Ollie. With all of that behind them, UConn is looking to re-establish themselves as a basketball powerhouse in their final year in the AAC.

Hurley has been out on the recruiting trail and has brought in a number of talented players in his 2019 recruiting class. Youth will be a big part of UConn this season as they prepare for life in the Big East in 2020. A number of freshmen will get big minutes for a team that has only one senior on the roster who’s on scholarship. With the youth coming in UConn still manages to return four starters from last season.

It’s clear to everyone that Dan Hurley is making great strides at UConn in the short time that he’s been there. Hurley is building a team that should improve from last season, with a lot of talent set to return for 2020 UConn should open as one of the conference favorites in the Big East especially with the addition of 2020 prospect Andre Jackson.

We’ll take a look at projected rotations for UConn, the key guys that will contribute big minutes off the bench. Some of their non-conference opponents, breakdown the frontrunners for the AAC and lastly give an idea of what to expect from UConn in the season outlook.
