There aren’t many new faces in Happy Valley

With so many players returning, there aren’t a ton of new faces that will be in the game programs this season. Chambers welcomes a couple of freshmen, a graduate transfer and a transfer that becomes eligible this season. Both freshmen are lengthy small forwards, Seth Lundy and Patrick Kelly, the 6-6 Lundy is the more likely of the two to see rotational minutes in his first year, and Kelly is more of a projectable forward for the team down the road.

Curtis Jones, Jr. is a 6-5 wing who joins the team as a grad transfer from Oklahoma State, the Virginia native averaged eight points and three rebounds as a senior last season. The other transfer is Izaiah Brockington, a 6-4 guard from Philadelphia who played one season at St. Bonaventure where he averaged just four points per game as a freshman. Early in the season, the playmaker was getting more run for Bonnies and he took advantage averaging over 15 points per game during a three-game span in November.

There may not be many newcomers for the Nittany Lions in 2019-20, but it is likely that three of them, Brockington, Jones, and Lundy will make an impact in State College.
