Led by a star-studded freshman class, Arizona Basketball is expected to return to the top of the Pac-12 in 2019-20. How good can the Wildcats be?

Arizona Basketball is coming off one of the most disappointing seasons in program history, capping off what has been a two-year run of uncertainly surrounding head coach Sean Miller’s group.

There’s obviously a cloud hanging over the program that was brought about by the program’s involvement in the FBI scandal, but that had a majorly negative impact on what the Wildcats put on the court last year.

After losing their entire incoming recruiting class at one point, Miller was able to piece a group together that performed admirably during the early portion of the season before falling apart late. The result was a 17-14 season that included a sub-.500 conference record for the first time since 2008 and a missed NCAA Tournament.

Yet there is a newfound optimism and hope in Tuscon thanks to the nation’s No. 6 overall recruiting class. That class is headlined by a pair of five-star prospects in Nico Mannion and Josh Green, both of whom are projected to be lottery picks in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Every member of the class is expected to play something of a significant role. And, when combined with some of what Arizona has returned, the Wildcats should return to the Pac-12’s top-tier and be one of the nation’s better teams.

Will they be able to live up to those expectations? What will the season look like? Here’s a full season preview for Arizona:
