Seton Hall was selected as the Big East Basketball favorite by the coaches, but with so many question marks around the league, the conference is as wide open as ever.

Last week, Big East Basketball revealed its 2019-20 preseason poll, as chosen by the league’s 10 coaches. For anyone who expected a normal conference season, one look at the league standings will end that notion. Though at this point, a topsy-turvy Big East season might be the only thing that truly is normal.

After something of a league-wide rebuilding year in 2018-19, the conference returns most of its talent in 2019-20, including stars Markus Howard and Myles Powell, who enter the year as preseason All-America favorites.

In such a tightly-packed race for the Big East title, with as many as seven teams harboring dreams of a top-3 finish in the conference, the Big East crown could come down to which of the league’s most intriguing players make good on their promise and which fall short of expectations.
