The 2019-20 NCAA basketball season is about to begin. Which teams found a spot in our preseason power rankings and how do they project moving forward?

A new NCAA basketball season is on the horizon. With only a couple of weeks remaining until the opening tip-off of the new campaign, it is time to take a deeper look into who some of the top teams in the country might be. As always, there are bound to be surprises, both positive and negative, over the course of this coming season but this article will break down my final preseason top-25.

Bluebloods litter the top-10, as you would expect, but there are also a few teams that are not traditionally ranked among the best. These schools are fresh off strong campaigns a year ago and return enough talent to take the next step as a unit.

Considering the season is yet to begin, there are questions surrounding every single team. After all, the sport would not be nearly as fun without the uncertainty. At this point, every team has its sights set on the same goal of reaching the NCAA Tournament and making a deep run at a potential national title.

Resumes are yet to be built and hope abounds for fanbases across the country. This is a time of optimism but we are about to see which fanbases actually have the right to be hopeful once their teams take the court.

Are these rankings bound to wrong? Yes. Am I underrating your favorite team? Also probably yes. Nonetheless, though, this is always a fun preseason exercise to ignite some debate before the teams take the court. Oh, and they are sometimes quite comical to look back on after the season as well.

Now, let’s dive into my preseason top-25.
