Key Reserves

Zach Harvey

Zach Harvey is a top-50 recruit who’s going to make an immediate impact and be the future of this Bearcats program. Harvey will likely end up starting some games for UC this season but it’s likely the freshman will start on the bench. Harvey is an all-around player that excels on both ends of the floor, he’ll quickly become a fan favorite.

Trevor Moore

Moore is likely to miss the start of the season with an Achilles issue but Moore saw time off the bench in every game last season. He’ll again have a role on the bench in what should be a pretty crowded frontcourt.

Mamoudou Diarra

We got to see a little bit of Diarra last season. He’ll look to make an impact off the bench this year and become a more consistent player.

Chris McNeal

McNeal is now on his third team in his collegiate career, the point guard averaged 9 points per game in 2018 while sitting out last season. Again, there’s a lot of guys in a crowded frontcourt for UC and they all can’t be on the floor at the same time.

Chris Vogt

The NKU transfer received a waiver to make him immediately eligible. Vogt’s size will be important for the Bearcats on both ends of the floor. If Vogt can stay out foul trouble he has a chance to play a lot of minutes.

Freshman Jeremiah Davenport is one for the future, he’s not expected to be back until December after having knee surgery. He’s a candidate for a redshirt if his recovery is delayed.

Brannen is likely to keep the rotation to eight or nine guys depending on who’s healthy, there’s not a lot of proven depth for Brannen to work with and especially opening with Ohio State to start the year, he’s going to have to figure it out quickly. This will be similar to the set up that Cronin had UC playing last year, any sort of injury to a starter is going to be extremely difficult for Cincinnati to recover from.
