NCAA basketball season is nearly here and national stars are ready to take the court. Which elite players are flying a bit under the radar?

There are 353 teams in NCAA basketball. As a result, there are bound to be some superstars that fly under the radar. These players simply do not receive the national attention that they deserve either because their teams have not experienced enough success to this point or they have been overshadowed by other teammates. Either way, these players have earned respect on the national stage. This article will highlight 10 “hidden stars” of the high-major ranks. (Don’t worry – a mid-major edition is on the horizon as well.)

Markus Howard, Myles Powell, and Cassius Winston headline the list of top returners in the country for this coming season. All three of them are top-tier guards that should lead their teams to strong seasons. Additionally, several highly-touted freshmen are also joining the college ranks this season such as James Wiseman, Anthony Edwards, and Tyrese Maxey. These players, though, are already household names and therefore won’t be mentioned in this article. For more information on the headlining stars of NCAA basketball, check to see which ones cracked our preseason National Player of the Year rankings.

This piece, on the other hand, will shed light on the proven stars that have been overshadowed in national discussions. These players are already exceptionally talented but it is time for their teams to burst onto the scene and make headlines. Are some of these names already well-known in college basketball circles? Absolutely, but they all deserve more attention and inclusion in conversations surrounding the best players in the country.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into a breakdown of 10 high-major players that I believe have been overlooked a bit over the course of the offseason.
