SEC Basketball: Top 25 returning players for 2019-20 season
SEC Basketball as a whole has been more exciting in the past few years. More SEC schools are granted NCAA Tournament bids and the conference seems to possess more talent. Who are the 25 best returning SEC players in 2019-20?
Last year in SEC Basketball, there were multiple teams very close to each other at the top of the league. Kentucky was toward the top, per normal, but had the company of LSU, Tennessee, and Auburn. The talent on each of these four teams was better than what was in the rest of the league, allowing these four to engage in a slugfest for conference supremacy. Beyond the scope of these four squads, however, the SEC as a whole was extremely talented and will continue to be that way in 2019-20.
Many of the guys from these teams at the top of the league last season were some of the best in the conference, and some have now graduated. In 2019-20, there are a lot of new, young faces in the league, either in the form of freshmen or transfers, but the talent that is returning to the SEC should not be overlooked.
There are still plenty of great SEC players from last season that are returning and will be even better. With a fresh look to a lot of the SEC teams, it will be the returners on this list that are looked upon as the leaders of their teams. Some of them will be the go-to scoring options, others will not, but all are important to their squads being able to find success.
Now, let’s see who the top 25 returning players in the SEC are for this season!
