As the 2019-20 NCAA Basketball season gets ready to tip-off, we break down eight things to watch for in this season’s first Rauf Report.

Welcome into the new season’s first Rauf Report, where I break down and take a look at all the latest happenings in the NCAA Basketball world.

If you’re a new reader, first off, thanks and hope you enjoy! Normally, these Rauf Reports detail my biggest takeaways from the past week in college basketball along with occasional tidbits I hear from coaches/scouts/players/sources/etc. if they’re noteworthy.

That will be the case again this season but this will become a twice-weekly article rather than weekly piece. The plan is to have one published on Monday that will recap the weekend and take a look at the week ahead, and then another one on Friday that will recap the week and look ahead to the weekend.

Obviously, there are no games to break down yet with the season starting on Tuesday, so we’re going to look ahead to the season as a whole.

No one knows exactly what the new year will look like – remember when we were all fools and had Duke ranked No. 4 in the preseason last year?? – but there are some larger trends and storylines that will remain prevalent throughout the season, or at least throughout the first part of the year. If you’re looking for predictions, I’ve made a number of them you can find here.

What are the biggest things to follow and the storylines that I’m watching coming into the new season? Find out in this season’s first Rauf Report:
