The last Busting Brackets Podcast episode before the 2019-20 season is out! Find out what the guys have the say about the Champions Classic and the rest of the first week.

The start of the 2019-20 NCAA Basketball season is finally upon us, just hours away from the start of the Champions Classic, featuring the top four teams in the country. To talk about that and more, Tristan Freeman and Ben Cary join hosts Connor Hope and Brian Rauf to break it all down.

But first, there are some mid-major programs not mentioned from previous podcast episodes that the guys wanted to talk about. In particular, New Mexico State, Harvard, Vermont and East Tennessee State. All four programs have had great success in the past decade and are preseason favorites in their respective conferences. What are their chances of getting an at-large bid and making a postseason run?

Those teams, along with 350 others will be playing actual basketball on the court. Besides the notable Champions Classic, there are plenty of other games that have the attention of hoops fans. From Baylor-Washington, Davidson-Auburn and others, the first week of NCAA Basketball is sure to not disappoint. What are some other games to keep an eye on?

In the end though, it’s the annual Champions Classic that has the initial attention of everyone. Duke, Michigan State, Kansas and Kentucky all have national title aspirations once again. The guys discuss what they’re looking for in the two matchups from a personnel standpoint.

What everyone does agree though is that there should be a lot of parody and contenders to make the Final Four in March. That could have a big impact on betting. Ben Cary tells us which teams he has his eye on when it comes to making future bets.

Next. What to watch for this upcoming season. dark

A last round of bold predictions are made (you’ll want to hear about this Kansas State fans) by the group before some parting words to round out the preview episodes of the Busting Brackets Podcast. From this point forward, we’ll be reviewing actual basketball. So stay tuned throughout the 2019-20 season for more content – both on paper and by podcast from our great staff of contributors.
