5. Whose bench is going to be a bigger factor?

With Michigan State’s run to the Final Four last season, the Spartans will be at an advantage. The Spartans are more experienced and with the Wildcats having mainly freshmen on the floor, the Spartans’ chances of getting more bench points from their bench are higher than the Wildcats. When you have an experienced team going up against a team mostly compiled of freshmen, it’s hard to compete and be able to put up big numbers.

Michigan State isn’t considered a one-and-done school like Kentucky, Duke, and Kansas are, but Michigan State gets the guys that stick around for 4 years, so experience comes in and makes a difference when the game is freshmen against upperclassmen. Kentucky has 2 freshmen that can produce, but Michigan State’s depth will outmatch Kentucky’s arsenal and cause trouble for the Wildcats.

Next. What to watch for 2019-20 season. dark

Michigan State was not picked number one in the country just because their colors looked cool, it’s because of their talent, ability to score, and depth at the bench, so be ready for a great match-up between the top 2 teams in the country.

My prediction: Michigan State over Kentucky 71 – 60
