Duke Basketball kicked off their 2019-20 season with a top-three win over Kansas in the Champions Classic.

As the underdog for the first time in what feels like forever, Duke Basketball beat the Kansas Jayhawks by a final score of 68-66 on Tuesday night. The Blue Devils were rather impressive and proved that their number four ranking this season was not a mistake.

Coming into Tuesday night many believed Duke would fall flat on their faces due to their mere six-point win over Northwest Missouri State in an exhibition game in October. This plus coming off a season in which they failed to get to the Final Four with three top-ten picks, didn’t make for great expectations.

Well whether you believe Kansas handed this game to Duke thanks to their 28 turnovers, or if you believe Duke was the better team and deserved the win, Duke won and aside from Kentucky, they currently have the best resume in college basketball.

Not only that, but it also means Duke has successfully gotten revenge on the first stop of their revenge tour this season. The last time the Blue Devils and Jayhawks faced off was during the Elite Eight back in 2018 where Kansas won in overtime.

This time, Duke was the one who came on top and they did it by only two points.

Nonetheless, what were some things Duke did well and also a couple things that maybe, they didn’t do some well in their first game of the season?
