Pittsburgh Basketball: 2019-20 keys for home game against Florida State
By Joe Chambers
Pittsburgh Basketball opens up its season against the Florida State Seminoles on November 6th. What are the keys for the Panthers to win?
Pittsburgh Basketball is looking to bounce back after a 14-19 overall record for the 2018-19 college hoops season. The Panthers finished with a conference record of 3-15. This is Jeff Capel’s 2nd year as head coach for the Panthers. The Panthers are in good hands with Capel at the helm of the program. As a longtime assistant with Coach Mike Krzyzewski, Capel has experience developing players and is good on the recruiting trail as well.
Their first game is a conference game against Florida State. Usually, conference play begins after teams come back from Christmas break. Good thing for Pittsburgh is this game is going to be a home game, where Pittsburgh went 0-11 last year on the road. The Panthers will have a lot in store in order to grab a W to start off their season on a high note.
Pittsburgh is an up and coming team in the ACC and has lots of potential to be a premier team in the ACC in years to come. Remember when Pittsburgh was one of the best teams in the country with Dejuan Blair and company, those were the days of really good Pittsburgh basketball. The Panthers have potential to get back to where they need to be in order to contend for an ACC title with the other powerhouses in the conference. They can get there with the staff they currently have. Here are my 3 keys for the Pittsburgh Panthers to beat Florida State.
