Memphis Basketball looks to go 2-0 against the Illinois-Chicago Flames. What are the keys for the Tigers to get the win?

Penny Hardaway has a good squad this year in Memphis Basketball. The Tigers look good enough to make a run for the American Conference Regular Season, American Conference title, and an NCAA Tournament run. There is a lot of potential for this group to succeed and help the Tigers throughout the season. They look good and Hardaway is doing a good job at helping the Tigers get to where they need to be.

James Wiseman looked good in their first game against South Carolina State. He had 28 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks. He was 85.7% from the free throw line, and 78.5% from the field. For the potential number one overall pick, this is a great showing for the forward to show that he has what it takes to make it in not college Division 1 hoops, but in the NBA as well. The best stat of them all was out of his 11 rebounds, six of them were offensive. You rarely hear someone having more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds. Wiseman only played 22 minutes.

Precious Achiuwa had 14 points in the South Carolina St. game. He also grabbed eight rebounds, went 80% from the free throw line, and shot 62.5% from the field. The other three starters each had eight points and shot 47.3% from the field and scored 24.7% of the team’s total points.

Wiseman is definitely the go-to-guy for the Tigers and will produce early for them as well. Tiger fans should be excited for this season as Hardaway has got a great squad ready to roll. Here are some keys for the Tigers to beat UIC.
