Much of the fun of NCAA Basketball is brought to us by upsets. During week one, there were already plenty of them, and I expect week 2 to be the same way.

College basketball is back! The opening days lived up to the expectations and brought us plenty of exciting games that had us sitting on the edge of our seats for a full 40 minutes. The great thing is, we are certain to get much more of that from now until March.

One thing that made the first week a great week for basketball was the upsets. Pennsylvania went into Alabama and stole a win in the final seconds in Nate Oats’s first game as Head Coach of the Crimson Tide. UC Riverside did the same thing when they went into Nebraska and destroyed the Huskers during the head coaching debut of Nebraska Head Coach, Fred Hoiberg.

Those two were not the only ones. Washington came back to take down #16 Baylor on Friday night, Texas went and beat #23 Purdue on the road on Saturday, and Florida State shocked the nation by beating #6 Florida handily on Sunday. Man, it was great!

Week 2 also has a few games that could potentially go the direction of the underdog. There are a few big mid-major vs. high-major games that could be close, while a few under-appreciated high-majors have the chance to gain national attention and take down some high-majors that are considered better than they are. With that, this list consists of 4 teams with the best chance to pull upsets this week.

A win for the underdog in these games would mean increased confidence moving forward, a signature win for their program, and most importantly, added strength to their NCAA Tournament resume. Now, let’s get on with it and see which teams could possibly pull off upsets in week two.
