NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Pros and cons of Bryce Thompson’s finalists
Five-star NCAA Basketball prospect Bryce Thompson will be making a decision soon. What are the pros and cons of his final four teams?
When it comes to the top combo guards in the 2020 NCAA Basketball Recruiting class, Tulsa native Bryce Thompson is right up there at the very top. Ranked in the top-20 overall and listed as a five-star recruit according to 247sportsComposite, Thompson is a 6’5 playmaker who can score with the best of them and create his own offense with ease.
With the size and all-around skillset, Thompson can play multiple positions on the court. He’s a two-way asset and has the potential of being a leading scorer on a top-25 NCAA Basketball team, even the blue bloods potentially. Even if he’s not a good enough ball-handler to facilitate the offense, he can easily play the off-ball shooting guard position and thrive there.
Speaking of “blue bloods”, Thompson has garnered interest from them and just about every other high-major program. A couple of months ago, the five-star guard presented a list of seven teams that were in play for him. They included Michigan State, Texas and Arkansas, along with Kansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. But recently, Thompson made the cut to the ladder four teams that were mentioned.
With a decision coming on Tuesday, November 12, one of these four programs is going to benefit from having a five-star prospect join their upcoming recruiting class. But which is the best fit? Here’s a look at the pros and cons of each potential situation for Thompson.
