Ohio State Basketball: 2019-20 keys for Buckeyes against Villanova
By Joe Chambers
Key #3 – Containing Jeremiah Robinson-Earl
The freshmen from Villanova out of IMG Academy is a great player for the Wildcats. In their first game against Army West Point, he scored 24 points off of 9/14 shooting (64.2%). He was also perfect from the line making all six of his free throws. He also had 13 rebounds in the contest as well. He did not make any of his three 3-pointers attempted, but he was able to be a factor in the game in not just scoring.
If the Buckeyes can limit Robinson-Earl to only a few points, that’ll be huge. Yes, the Wildcats have other key players to help get the ball in the basket, but if you can limit their star player, it plays a big factor. He turned the ball over five times in their game against Army, so if they can put a lot of pressure on the ball whenever he has it, this can cause him to be careless with the ball can cause him to make uncomfortable situations.
Robinson-Earl can get to the rim with ease, so they are going to need to have someone guarding him all the time.
