Georgetown Basketball: 3 keys for 2019-20 game against Penn State
By Joe Chambers
Key #2 – Defense
The Hoyas have given up an average of 85 ppg their past 2 games. Not exactly what they would like so this is something they need to work on. Everyone needs to get stops in order to win so lockdown defense is something that’ll help the Hoyas to get key plays and help them get out in transition to get some buckets. Perimeter defense will be key in getting them a solid win. They cannot have them drive into the paint. The Nittany Lions can get shots up and the Hoyas are going to have to put a hand up.
The Hoyas are known for getting bigs so their post-defense will be huge. They have got big guys down low and if they can get their post defense to get stops, that’ll be huge. The big key for the defensive side is Yurtseven. They are going to need him to stay out of foul trouble. This game will set the tone for the Hoyas and will determine how they will do in the season. If Yurtseven does get in foul trouble early, they will be in trouble. My prediction is if Yurtseven gets in foul trouble early on, they will be in for a rude awakening.
