With two weeks of the 2019-20 NCAA Basketball season into the books, it’s time to return to our weekly mid-major column featuring the top performers from the under-appreciated leagues.

The 2019-20 NCAA Basketball season is off to a typically exciting start and the same holds true for the mid-major conferences across the country. With a number of notable performances (both individual and team-based), wins, upsets, and games, it’s time for the return of our weekly mid-major column.

As anyone who may have read this column last year will know, I spoke ad nauseam about the perfect storm that formed for mid-majors in 2018-19. I’m not sure the same aligning of the stars will happen in 2019-20, but it’s also too early to tell on that front. However, it’s very apparent that the mid-majors have shown up hungry and ready to battle once again this season.

Normally, this column will feature a top individual mid-major performance of the week, a top mid-major team performance of the week, and then either a top mid-major matchup or a mid-major bracketology breakdown depending on the point of the season we are at. But, for today’s edition, we are going to highlight five notable results from the first two of action.

It was a busy two weeks for the mid-majors as it was for every team and league across the country. But, one result featuring a certain group of purple people stood out above the rest, and that is where we will start this list…
